Accessing Cpanel and Webmail From Behind a Firewall Print

  • 0

I can't login to cpanel or webmail from work or when I'm traveling. They run a firewall and block ports 2082, 2083, 2095, and 2096. Anything I can do?
You may be able to make them work via port 80 using a proxy script from http://cpanelproxy.net/

Create subdomains for cpanel and webmail named cpanel.yourdomain.com and webmail.yourdomain.com. (Change to your domain.)

Download the script from cpanelproxy.net and install it into the subdomains or you may use their auto-installer at their site. If doing it manually, you do need to upload the .htaccess and php.ini files which are included. It comes with a readme and only involves uploading the files.

Browse to your subdomains and login.

The script at the time of this writing does not support SSL.
